How to test anything with TAP::Parser?

I could not get it work with prove (I don't have sh-bang lines in the
test files)
but it seem I have the old prove only even though I have just
installed TAP::Parser 0.54 using CPAN.pm


$ \prove -V
prove v2.64, using Test::Harness v2.64 and Perl v5.8.8
