Or less tersely: you seem to have an agenda for plugins which  
includes the use of your inherit mechanism and allows plugins to  
inject arbitrary options to App::Prove. I'm not aware that we've  
agreed on that.

I don't like the idea of plugins adding options to App::Prove - it's  
a small namespace and the potential for collisions is great. What is  
the objection to using the same syntax Perl uses? :

$ prove -MSome::Extension=colour,pink -rb
