Tony Corke is riding the SSUK in Bristol as part of 3 immense physical challenges he has given himself to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association in support of his father who is suffering from this hideous disease.
Please take a few minutes to have a look at www.justgiving.com/corke and if you are able, to donate whatever you can to help.
Tony's first challenge was last weekend in the Tour of Wessex - 330 miles over 3 days...
Update: 17th Place in the Tour of Wessex out of 536 entrants- well in the top 4% and £1450 raised for MNDA. Well done and thanks to you all.
I know that all we are doing is a huge encouragement to my father and I thank you all and urge you to keep it up and tell your friends to consider supporting us. I think I had a glimpse of how my father might feel when after 300miles of intense racing I was withered, tired, saddle sore and with aching legs and knees, I sped into the final feed station and looked up to see him sitting there in his wheel chair watching me. Just knowing he was there and that he cared enough to be there when it counted gave me wings, and I can honestly say those last 30 miles were the fastest of my life.
See you next week,
Tony and Gillian
