I just tried to download he trackfile out of my WBT-100 (Firmware 3.31.6230.R8) by entering following code using the terminal.

./gpsbabel -i wbt -f /dev/cu.BT-GPS-SPPslave-1 -o gpx -F out.gpx

My MacBookPro connects via Bluetotth for some minutes, but finally following answer appears in the terminal

WBT-100/200: Bad response from unit

Any idea what's wrong in the cammand line ???

GPSBabel works perfect with my Wintec WBT100. Just a question about the GPSBabel GUI, it seems that it is not possible to select a com port from the GUI. And also it could be nice to set the file filter to *.tks when Wintec files are selected.

That should work if you have the latest version of gpsbabel. Let me know if it doesn't work.

I don't know I'm afraid. I would imagine that if you're booting directly into Windows it'll be fine - not sure about Parallels though.

Unfortuntely it's not currently possible to do a firmware update on anything other than Windows.

Somebody really needs to write an open source firmware update tool - but I don't really have time to do that at the moment.
