Oh well, another 6 million CDs to be buried at the local landfill. Let's hope the rest of the industry takes notice. Once users find they can't use the music they purchased how they want, they'll download a version they can. Perhaps the moral minority or the dumb might also purchase a copy (that they can't play) - but I doubt it'll be enough to keep the shareholders interested. BTW: anyone know how much cash these copy-protection companies made from signing up record labels? Would be fun to see a cost-benefit analysis...
